Callaway ’s latest driver, the Fusion FT-iQ isn’t the prettiest golf club I’ve ever seen but company promises that it is their longest, straightest driver ever. The squared-off club promises increased ball speed. The titanium face is thickest in the center and thins out on the side while a lightweight composite body gives the club a low center of gravity. It sell for $499 to $529 and will be available as of November 15. The Callaway website has video of pro golfers including Rocco Mediate and Ernie Els testing out the club.

I’m new to golf and the Callaway Big Bertha irons feel good right now, but i’m not sure what the difference is between the 2006 and 2008 versions are. Is it just in looks or what? Please help me!

2006 big berthas are less forgiving and hit the ball a little shorter distance then the 2008. Looks are another thing, but the big difference between the 2 clubs are the feel. In the 06′ models they put a firm grip on the club and the 08′ has a softer feel. But if i were you i would just go with the 06′ because you are new to golf and you should not go with a top notch set.

I was wndering like specs fr differnt golfers.

Both are high spin balls. The Tour i spins faster(10,473 rpm) than the Tour ix(9,990). The Tour i averages 253.7 yards off the tee and the Tour ix averages 253.4 off the tee(tested by robot with swing speed of 90mph, 137 mph ball speed, 13.75* launch angle, and 2900 rpm). They cost the same.

Callaway is selling a new system where you can purchase a club head (@500 dollars) and then buy individual shafts for the head (@150-500 dollars depending on the make.

I am, but its not so I can “switch shafts every round depending on conditions” it’s because I was fitted to the Diamana Whiteboard and you can’t get the Whiteboard in a normal FT-i without the i-mix system. I think it’s good as a fitting tool but most people should be using just 1 driver setup.
