Golf Apparel

golf shoes

When choosing golf apparel, as with golf shoes, man people’s choices are primarily driven by looks and fashion. While these are no doubt important factors (who doesn’t want to look good?), they shouldn’t be the only factors: the right (or wrong) choice of clothing can greatly affect a player’s game.

Of course, you may not have a totally free choice of what you can wear on the course. While some golf clubs do allow you to wear what you want as long as it is tasteful, there are also many that have rules about what is acceptable on their course. Typical rules state that no tank tops, short shorts or jeans are allowed, and often also require that all players wear shirts with collars.

For men, the choice of golf apparel is usually relative uncomplicated. Khaki pants and a collared polo shirt are the the most popular choice and acceptable on almost all golf courses. In warm weather conditions, most golf clubs allow male players to wear fitted shorts. Most players also find a hat useful, as it helps keep the sun out of their eyes.

Women usually have a much wider choice of golf apparel that men. Golf skirts are increasingly popular as they do not restrict movement, but some women prefer shorts or loose pants. As with men, polo shirts are also widespread, and some upscale golf course allow women to wear sleeveless polos. Keeping the sun out of one’s eyes is just as important for female players as for men, and many women opt for visors, although some do prefer hats.

Here are some tips on choosing golf apparel:

- It is usually best to choose clothes that are made of lightweight, breathable fabrics - especially if you mainly play in cold weather conditions. Of course manufacturers of golf apparel are aware of this requirement, and so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find clothing like this.

- Another thing to bear in mind is that if your clothing is too tight it can be a positive disadvantage. A good golf swing is based on a smooth fluid movement, and hence you must choose apparel which does not restrict your movement.

- When playing golf there’s a lot of bits and pieces (like golf tees, divot markers and extra balls) that you need to carry around with you, and hence having pockets in your shorts or pants is very convenient. Of course, you don’t want to stuff your pockets (extra balls are a particular culprit for this) as it can throw off your swing quite a bit.

There are many places to find golf apparel. You can of course buy golf clothing in a golf store, or a the pro shop at the golf course, but the cheapest option is often the Internet - you may be amazed at some of the bargains that you can get online!

The only dilemma you may find yourself in eventually is which golf course to head?

The best golf courses that Myrtle Beach has to offer

Myrtle Beach, as we mentioned earlier, is famous for its myriad number of golf courses. Lets throw light on few of them as follows:

North Myrtle Beach

In case you desire to head northwards on the Myrtle Beach for your ideal golf weekend, then one location you just can’t skip is Barefoot. Well, that doesn’t mean you can go around barefoot on the golf course! But it certainly indicates that the golf courses here offer you the same closeness to nature as you would experience walking barefoot! These Barefoot courses have enough challenge for both newcomers as well as seasoned pros.

Here, you have three excellent golf courses to choose from and may have to dig as much as $300 to $627 into your pockets for an ideal golfing weekend. The price range varies owing to facilities on board. Whichever golf course you may settle within the end, you are assured a fantastic time and great value for your money.

Central Myrtle Beach

Hosting 10 distinct championship class golf courses certainly makes the Legend golf resort located in Central Myrtle Beach an excellent golfing destination for planning ones weekend trip. The Parkland golf course in Legends, Central Myrtle beach is surely among the finest golf courses that you can ever play on. It is counted amongst the premier golf courses in the US and being blessed with a sophisticated natural terrain, it offers serious challenges to seasoned golf experts. During your play here, it is not rare to run into deep-faced bunkers or dense fairways with great number of trees.

If you plan to stay over during the weekend and are looking for the most appropriate package to suit your needs, then you can consider the Legends 3 rounds special. This package starts at as low as $55 per night per person and you get to stay for 3 nights, play 3 rounds of golf and are offered complementary breakfast and housekeeping facilities. You will certainly feel like a king with so many luxuries on offer!

Another great Myrtle Beach weekend golf trip that deserves consideration is the Litchfield Country Club. It’s the only among the veterans that has maintained it’s classic looks and hasn’t given into the dynamically changing contemporary trends. If you wish to travel back in time and experience the class that golf offered 100 years ago, Litchfield Country Club is the place to be. However, the prices are little steep at $300 for the weekend stay.

On the whole, there are plenty of Myrtle Beach weekend golf trips to consider and each one assures a memorable and exclusively special experience.

Golf Swing Speed Radar Gun with Tempo Timer Monitor Corporate Executive Golf Gift Idea

Golf Swing Speed Radar Gun with Tempo Timer With the Swing Speed Radar with Tempo Timer you can: Monitor and learn to focus your swing speed at impact using accurate doppler radar technology Monitor and groove your swing tempo- the time from take away to impact! Hit longer and straighter balls! Two of the most important elements in a golf swing are speed and tempo. With the Golf Swing Speed Radar with Tempo Timer, there is a tool to help us learn to improve both. Like the Swing Speed Radar, the Swing Speed Radar with Tempo Timer measures the exact speed of your club head using highly accurate doppler radar . By learning to focus the maximum clubhead speed at impact, we can improve distance. Using the Swing Speed Radar is a highly accurate and instructive way to monitor this progress. The Tempo Timer takes it a step further. The Tempo timer will measure the time elapsed between take away and impact and display it after each swing! While this time can be different from one golfer to the next, the consistency of this time is a very important part of grooving a repeatable swing. One common tendency in practice at the range is to shorten this time from the beginning of the bucket to the end. This inconsistency can make it into our rounds and affect our score. Monitor and control tempo during a practice bucket and a more consistent swing will develop. The Swing Speed Radar with Tempo Timer can be set to display swing speed, swing tempo, or it can display both by flashing between them at the completion of each swing.

Christmas Golf Gift Golf Gift Idea Check-Go Golf Ball Sweet Spot Finder

Golf Gift Golf Gifts Check-Go Golf Ball Sweet Spot Finder View our complete list of Golf Gift Ideas for the holidays! This is one of the coolest and most unique and useful golf products to come along in years! As Seen On the Golf Channel! The Check n Go Golf Ball Sweet Spot Finder is a revolutionary golf ball marker. The principle behind the Check Go sweet spot finder is simple. No golf ball ever produced is perfectly round . Each has its own unique center of gravity that it will “find” when spinning. If you drive or putt a golf ball and the spin created isn’t on that unique axis, then the ball will correct itself and inevitably travel off line. Simple physics. The Check and Go sweet spot finder will locate that perfect center of gravity by spinning the golf ball at over ten thousand RPMs. Then use the Check Go sweet spot finder / golf ball marker to mark that perfect equator. Simply putt and drive on that line and the golf ball will putt truer and fly straighter because it is already spinning on its equator! Just like an automobile tire must be spun at high speeds to balance their imperfect center of gravity, so should a golf ball. Since the USGA permits the marking of a golf ball before play, the Check Go Sweet Spot Finder is a 100% legal ball marking device. Guranteed to arrive at your door within 7 business days, or shipping is FREE Domestic orders only. $5.95 shipping fee creditied if order does not arrive by the seventh business day!
